About the role of Project Quantity Surveyor

As Project Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining the commercial team of a Tier 1 Main Contractor in the UK. They are looking to strengthen their commercial team due to a strong project pipeline. You will get the opportunity to take a commercial lead position on projects valued £5m+. This leading construction contractor operates across commercial, education, defence, and infrastructure schemes with over 100 years of experience in the construction industry.

Their London operations focus on major commercial and mixed-use developments, industrial and logistic developments, life science and research facilities, film studios, defence and secure government facilities. You will be reporting into the Managing Quantity Surveyor.

Key Responsibilities of Project Quantity Surveyor

Include but not limited to:

• Take full commercial responsibility for projects valued £5m and above
• Establish project budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts
• Prepare subcontractor tender packages
• Identify contractual risks
• Manage applications for payments
• Prepare and submit variation quotations
• Prepare monthly CVRs
• Prepare, negotiate and agree the main contract final account
• Attend project progress meetings

Key Requirements of Project Quantity Surveyor

• Degree educated in a construction related subject
• Live within commutable distance and willing to travel in London
• Experience commercially leading projects valued £5m+ at a main contractor
