We are recruiting a Project Worker to support vulnerable children and young people who are missing from care or at risk of going missing across Greater Manchester.
The RoleAs a Project Worker, you will:
- Complete Missing from Care Return Interviews.
- Assess risk, identify support needs, and provide short-term interventions.
- Manage your own caseload of children and young people.
- Work alongside social care, police, education, and other partner agencies.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain accurate records and case notes.
- Help children and young people have their voices heard.
To be successful as a Project Worker, you will have:
- Experience working with vulnerable children and young people, particularly those in care.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and exploitation risks.
- Experience completing assessments and planning interventions.
- Strong communication, advocacy, and record-keeping skills.
- A relevant qualification in Social Work, Youth & Community Work, Childcare, or a related field.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a multi-agency team.
- Travel across Greater Manchester is required.
- Some evening and occasional overnight work may be necessary.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
