We are recruiting a Project Worker to support vulnerable children and young people who are missing from care or at risk of going missing across Greater Manchester.

The Role

As a Project Worker, you will:

  • Complete Missing from Care Return Interviews.
  • Assess risk, identify support needs, and provide short-term interventions.
  • Manage your own caseload of children and young people.
  • Work alongside social care, police, education, and other partner agencies.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records and case notes.
  • Help children and young people have their voices heard.
About You

To be successful as a Project Worker, you will have:

  • Experience working with vulnerable children and young people, particularly those in care.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and exploitation risks.
  • Experience completing assessments and planning interventions.
  • Strong communication, advocacy, and record-keeping skills.
  • A relevant qualification in Social Work, Youth & Community Work, Childcare, or a related field.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a multi-agency team.
Additional Information
  • Travel across Greater Manchester is required.
  • Some evening and occasional overnight work may be necessary.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.
