Property Administrator – 12 Month Maternity Cover

Our well established and growing client based in Hertford are looking for a Property Administrator. This is initially a 12 month FTC role to cover maternity leave, however there is a strong possibility it may go on to become permanent in this office, or another within the group.
This is a very busy role within a fast paced environment, no day is ever the same and you will be in a close knit, friendly and supportive team!
What’s in it for you?:
- Salary: up to £28k depending on experience
- Hours: Mon-Fri 9am-5.30pm, 1 in 3 Saturdays with time off in lieu
Key responsibilities:
- Property Management: Assisting in overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple residential properties, ensuring they are well-maintained and operating efficiently.
- Landlord & Tenant Relations: Assisting in maintaining positive relationships with tenants & landlords and address any concerns or issues promptly.
- Contractor Management: Assisting in selecting, managing and maintaining relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure the efficient operation of the properties.
- Maintenance Co-ordination: Respond to maintenance issues as they arise, promptly and efficiently, instructing appropriate contractors in accordance with landlords’ or Directors’ wishes. Manage and schedule regular maintenance and repairs for properties.
- Financial Management: Assist in overseeing rent collection, ensure timely payments, and address late payments. Ensure properties have ongoing rent guarantees and oversee claims.
- Compliance: Ensure that properties comply with all statutory regulations.
- Renewals & Terminations: Assist in Managing renewals and terminations, including arranging final property inspections and move-out processes. deposit dilapidations and disputes.

- Previous administrative experience within the Property industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take on a variety of tasks.
- A proactive and professional approach to client interactions.
- Able to build rapport, develop and maintain relationships
- Excellent telephone manner
- Superb organisational skills and able to prioritise workload
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Driving license and own vehicle
