Property & Construction Administrator
North London | Property & Construction
Salary up to £30k

Are you an organised, proactive administrator with construction experience looking for a role where no two days are the same?

We're working with an established and growing property business that is looking for a Property & Construction Administrator to join its team in North London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being at the heart of a busy business and wants a role that combines property administration, construction support and day-to-day operational coordination.

Working closely with the Managing Director, Head of Residential and Building Surveyor, you'll play an important role in keeping the business running smoothly. You'll provide essential administrative support across the residential and surveying functions, while gaining exposure to property management, construction projects, contractors and wider business operations.

The Role
You'll take ownership of a varied workload, supporting the property and surveying teams with everything from tenant administration and correspondence through to contractor documentation and construction project support.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Property Management team
  • Raising and managing purchase orders
  • Collecting and processing applicant references
  • Preparing move-in and move-out documentation for tenants
  • Managing emails, correspondence and general enquiries
  • Preparing property-related documentation and coordinating access to properties
  • Serving Form 4A rent increase notices
  • Uploading and maintaining accurate records and documentation within Qube
  • Supporting the administration of construction, maintenance and refurbishment projects
  • Preparing and managing contractor documentation, project records and compliance paperwork
  • Coordinating meetings, activities and operational tasks across the business
  • Supporting the Managing Director, Head of Residential and Building Surveyor with ad-hoc administrative and operational requirements
  • Liaising with contractors, consultants, tenants and other stakeholders to ensure activities are coordinated effectively

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is organised, dependable and commercially aware, with the confidence to work across both property and construction environments.

Essential:

  • Previous experience working within the construction industry
  • Good knowledge and understanding of JCT Contracts and construction contract administration
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proactive approach with the ability to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office
  • Confidence liaising with contractors, consultants, tenants and other stakeholders

Desirable:

  • Previous property administration or property management experience
  • Experience using Qube or similar property management software
  • Experience supporting construction, maintenance or refurbishment projects

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is more than a traditional administration role. You'll become a key member of a growing property business, working closely with senior decisionmakers and gaining valuable exposure across residential property, construction, surveying and project administration. There are also excellent opportunities for progression and development, with the chance to take on greater responsibility and build a long-term career as the business continues to grow.
