About the Role:

Our client is looking for a reliable, experienced Property Compliance Officer to join their busy property team in Hendon, NW London. This is an important position and due to the large size of their property portfolio they need someone who is genuinely experienced and capable managing property compliance at scale.

The candidate MUST have substantial hands-on experience in residential property compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage HMO, Selective and Additional Licensing requirements across a large residential property portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant residential property licensing and statutory requirements.
  • Liaise with different Local Authorities, understanding and managing their individual licensing requirements.
  • Monitor compliance certificates, licences, renewal and expiry dates to ensure everything remains up to date.
  • Identify compliance gaps, outstanding requirements and potential risks, ensuring these are addressed within the required timescales.
  • Work closely with Property Managers, contractors and other stakeholders to resolve outstanding compliance matters.
  • Maintain and monitor compliance relating to Gas Safety Certificates, EICRs, EPCs, Fire Risk Assessments, Legionella, emergency lighting, smoke/CO alarms and other statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records and documentation.
  • Use ProPack to monitor property compliance, certificates, licences, expiry dates and outstanding actions.
  • Keep up to date with changes to property legislation, licensing requirements and statutory compliance obligations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing property compliance across a large residential property portfolio.
  • Strong experience with HMO and Selective Licensing, including Additional and Local Authority licensing schemes.
  • Strong knowledge of UK residential property compliance requirements and legislation.
  • Experience working closely with multiple Property Managers and other stakeholders.
  • Experience using ProPack or a similar property compliance system; ProPack experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational, administration and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

  • Ability to manage large volumes of information, properties, certificates, licences and compliance deadlines accurately.
  • Confidence to challenge, escalate and follow up on compliance issues when required.
  • Proactive, methodical and highly detail-oriented, with a strong focus on maintaining compliance.

Location: Hendon, North West London
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am – 5pm office based
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 Per Annum depending on experience
