Your new role
We are seeking a Property & FM Compliance Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of a multi-site property portfolio across the UK and Ireland. This is a varied role responsible for facilities management, statutory compliance, health & safety, property operations, supplier management, and estate-related projects.Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the operational delivery of facilities services across a centrally managed estate.
- Ensuring compliance with all statutory health & safety, fire safety, and property-related obligations.
- Maintaining compliance records, risk assessments, audit documentation, and remediation plans.
- Managing relationships with landlords, managing agents, FM providers, and contractors.
- Coordinating office relocations, refurbishments, closures, and other property projects.
- Overseeing physical access controls, security processes, and associated governance.
- Managing facilities administration, including invoices, purchase orders, supplier onboarding, and reporting.
- Producing management information, compliance reports, governance packs, and board updates.
- Supporting ESG initiatives, environmental objectives, and cost-control activities across the estate.
- Providing guidance and coordination to site leads, fire marshals, first-aiders, and other key stakeholders to ensure consistent delivery across all locations.
While this role does not have direct line management responsibility, you will provide guidance, coordination, and oversight to site leads, deputy site leads, first-aiders, fire marshals, and other colleagues supporting property and facilities activities. Success in the role will require strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence individuals across the business without direct authority.
What you'll need to succeed
- A property, facilities management, health & safety qualification, or be actively working towards one.
- Experience managing a multi-site estate within a corporate, commercial, or shared services environment.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation, fire safety, property compliance, and audit requirements.
- Understanding of SOC 1/SOC 2 controls, customer audits, physical security, and access management processes.
- Experience managing FM service providers, landlords, managing agents, and contractors.
- Strong commercial awareness, including budget control, service charge reviews, supplier management, and cost management.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A proactive, organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple operational, compliance, and project priorities simultaneously.
- Flexibility to travel across sites within the UK and Ireland as required.
What you'll get in return
A competitive day rate of £250-£300 per day, plus mileage and business expenses reimbursed in line with company policy. The initial contract is for 6 months, with the potential for extension and the opportunity to secure a permanent position within the organisation for the right individual.
