A specialist SEND and SEMH provision in Newcastle upon Tyne is looking for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH needs and communication difficulties.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting young people who need additional support to access education. You'll work closely with experienced teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff while developing skills that will strengthen applications for postgraduate study and future careers.

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Pay: £92.63 - £105 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term

What you'll be doing
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Assisting with behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Building positive and professional relationships
  • Supporting targeted interventions
  • Encouraging engagement and participation
  • Working alongside teaching and pastoral staff
