Teaching Personnel are recruiting enthusiastic and compassionate Psychology graduates to work as Teaching Assistants within Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools across Cardiff and the surrounding areas. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates considering a future career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech & Language Therapy, Social Work, Counselling, or Teaching.

 

The Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of additional learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and learning difficulties.
  • Work closely with teachers and specialist staff to deliver tailored support.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils to help them achieve their educational and personal goals.
  • Support both classroom-based learning and wider school activities.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

 

What We're Looking For
  • A degree in Psychology or a related subject.
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilience, patience and a proactive attitude.
  • Previous experience working with children or individuals with additional needs is desirable but not essential.

Location

Roles are available across Cardiff and the surrounding areas. Due to the locations of some schools, access to your own transport is preferred.
