Are you an experienced pub manager ready to take on a significant, multi-faceted hospitality business and take it to the next level?

The White Hart in Ampthill is one of the standout businesses within the Acorn Pubs estate, part of Brunning & Price, and we’re looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Pub Manager to lead the business into its next chapter.

Recently refurbished and full of opportunity, The White Hart is far more than a traditional pub. It’s a multi-faceted destination business, combining a thriving pub operation with significant function trade, dedicated event space, an outside bar, a huge garden that comes into its own for events, and a hotel.

This is a business with real scale, variety and potential — and we’re looking for someone who can maximise every part of it.

As Pub Manager, you’ll take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation and commercial performance of The White Hart, leading a sizeable team and ensuring that every guest experience reflects the high standards expected across Acorn Pubs and Brunning & Price.

You’ll be someone who naturally thinks commercially, understands how to drive sales and build trade, and knows how to balance exceptional hospitality with strong operational and financial performance.

With such a diverse operation, no two days will be the same. From developing the core pub trade and maximising the hotel, to growing functions and events and making the most of the extensive outdoor space, you’ll have plenty of scope to put your own stamp on the business.

This role would suit an experienced Pub Manager or General Manager who has a proven track record of running a successful, high-volume hospitality business.

With its recent refurbishment, hotel, extensive gardens, outside bar, event spaces and established function trade, there are multiple revenue streams to develop and plenty of opportunity for further growth.

You’ll have the support, training and career opportunities that come with being part of Brunning & Price, while having the autonomy to lead and shape one of Acorn’s most exciting businesses.
