Pumping Station Installation Engineer / Assistant Engineer - East Anglia

We are recruiting for multiple Pumping Station Installation Engineers, from Assistant Engineer through to experienced Installation Engineer level, to join a rapidly growing specialist pumping-station business.

There are opportunities at two levels:

Installation Engineer – for experienced engineers capable of carrying out pumping-station installations independently.

Assistant Engineer – for engineers with relevant hands-on experience who can support a Lead Engineer and develop further within pumping-station installation and commissioning.

The positions are field based, with the majority of work across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, South Lincolnshire and Bedfordshire.

The Role

Working across sewage and surface-water pumping stations, you will be involved in the installation and commissioning of pumping-station equipment on customer sites.

Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities will include:

  • Installation and commissioning of sewage and surface-water pumping stations
  • Installing pumps, pipework and associated mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Working from technical drawings, specifications and technical packs
  • Supporting or leading pumping-station installations on site
  • Investigating and rectifying site issues
  • Fault finding and resolving mechanical/electrical issues
  • Supporting testing, commissioning and handover
  • Working on pumping-station installations and adoptions
  • Supporting the service department when required
  • Responding to reactive site requirements and telemetry alarms
  • Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and installation quality

The experienced Installation Engineer will be expected to install pumping-station equipment and associated pipework to supplied drawings and technical packs, while the Assistant Engineer will work alongside the Lead Engineer on installation and commissioning.

What We're Looking For

We would be interested in speaking with engineers from backgrounds including:

  • Pumping stations
  • Pumps and pump systems
  • Wastewater / sewage
  • Water and utilities
  • Mechanical installation
  • M&E installation
  • Drainage
  • Sewage or water treatment

Experience with adoptable pumping stations / Sewers for Adoption (SFA) would be particularly relevant.

You do not need to be a fully experienced Installation Engineer to be considered. Candidates with Service Engineer of Fitting exp or relevant hands-on mechanical or pumping experience who are looking to develop their installation and commissioning experience are encouraged to apply for the Assistant Engineer opportunity.

For the experienced position, we're looking for engineers with stronger knowledge of mechanical and electrical pumping equipment, pumping-station installation, maintenance and fault finding.
