Purchase Ledger Clerk

Your new company

A well-established business based in Redditch is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join its busy finance team on an immediate-start basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong construction sector experience who is confident using the COINS ERP system and has a thorough understanding of subcontractor accounts and CIS processes.

Your new role

You will take ownership of a busy Purchase Ledger function within a fast-paced construction environment.Key responsibilities will include:

• Processing high volumes of supplier and subcontractor invoices using COINS.
• Matching, batching and coding invoices accurately.
• Managing subcontractor accounts and related documentation.
• Assisting with CIS administration and ensuring compliance requirements are met.
• Reconciling supplier and subcontractor statements.
• Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries.
• Creating and maintaining supplier and subcontractor master data.
• Liaising with site teams, project managers and suppliers to resolve discrepancies.
• Supporting month-end activities and ledger reconciliations.
• Ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

This is a fully office-based position in Redditch and requires someone who can start immediately and quickly become a valuable member of the team.

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience within a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable position.
• Essential experience using COINS ERP software.
• Essential experience dealing with subcontractors within the construction sector.
• Knowledge of CIS processes and construction industry payment procedures.
• Strong supplier statement reconciliation experience.
• Experience processing high volumes of invoices accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships across the business.
• Confident working independently and managing multiple priorities.
• Available to start immediately or at very short notice.
