We are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the central finance team of a well-established multi-academy trust based in Bolton on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a supportive and busy team environment.


Location: Bolton, BL2
Rate: £16.31 - £17.47/hour DOE
Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm (Full-time, Full Year)
Start Date: Immediate/ASAP start available

Contract: Temporary until at least September

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Handling supplier queries and maintaining strong working relationships
  • Completing supplier statement reconciliations
  • Assisting with payment runs
  • Managing and responding to the finance inbox
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties


What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience within a finance assistant, purchase ledger or accounts payable role
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Confident communication skills when dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience working in a school or education setting would be advantageous, but not essential
