As a Purchase Order Assistant in the property industry, based in Castleford, you'll be responsible for supporting the smooth processing of purchase orders and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Your role will help the accounting and finance department stay organised and on top of supplier transactions.

Description

  • Accurately input purchase orders onto internal systems.
  • Maintain and update database records, ensuring all information is correct and up to date.
  • Process large volumes of data with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Perform regular data validation and quality checks.
  • Identify and correct discrepancies within system records.
  • Support the wider team with administrative and data-related tasks.
  • Ensure all information is recorded in line with company procedures.
  • Generate reports and extract data when required.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to obtain missing or unclear information.

Profile

About You

  • Finance Administration
  • Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable

You'll also have:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confidence working with finance systems and databases.
  • Advanced user skills across Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • A methodical and organised approach to managing workloads.
  • The ability to identify errors, investigate issues, and maintain high-quality data standards.

Desirable Experience

  • Purchase Order (PO) processing experience.
  • Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger experience.
  • Experience using Eque2 or similar ERP/accounting systems.
  • Construction, engineering, property, or project-based industry experience.
  • Strong reporting and data analysis skills.

Job Offer

  • Hourly pay of £14.00 - £17.00, dependent on the level of experience.
