What you’ll be doing
You’ll play a key role in maintaining the highest levels of food safety and quality across the site. Your day will be varied, hands‑on, and central to keeping operations running smoothly and compliantly.

Carrying out daily checks to uphold BRCGS Food Safety Standards.

Working closely with Production and other teams to ensure issues are recorded, communicated, and resolved.

Conducting goods‑in inspections, raw material checks, and finished product verifications.

Ensuring HACCP principles are followed and CCPs are monitored and verified.

Completing internal audits and reporting findings clearly and accurately.

Sampling, testing, and monitoring materials throughout the process flow.

Supporting hygiene, housekeeping, allergen controls, and traceability across the site.

Maintaining QAS documentation, trackers, and compliance records.

Providing support during external audits, customer visits, and regulatory inspections.

What you’ll bring

Strong understanding of BRCGS and HACCP principles.

Excellent attention to detail and a natural ability to spot issues early.

Confidence working independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Clear communication skills and the ability to work well with internal teams and external auditors.

Solid record‑keeping and documentation capability.

Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach.

Flexibility and adaptability as priorities shift.
Experience & qualifications
-
Level 2 or 3 Food Safety qualification (or equivalent).

HACCP training/certification desirable.
-
Internal auditing experience or training preferred.

Previous experience in food manufacturing / FMCG is essential.

Competent with Microsoft Office and QA systems.
-
Knowledge of allergen management, traceability, and CCP monitoring is an advantage.
