You'll be the link between Technical, Production and customers, ensuring standards are not only met but continuously improved.

What you'll be doing

No two days are the same, but you'll be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing the Quality Assurance team.
  • Driving compliance with BRCGS, retailer and customer standards.
  • Managing the internal audit programme and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
  • Carrying out gap analysis against retailer Codes of Practice and BRCGS requirements.
  • Investigating customer complaints, quality incidents and non-conformances to identify root causes and implement preventative actions.
  • Monitoring quality trends and using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Maintaining and improving the site's Quality Management System.
  • Championing GMP, hygiene, traceability, calibration and food safety standards across the site.
  • Supporting HACCP, TACCP and VACCP programmes.
  • Assisting with retailer specifications, customer portals and technical documentation.
  • Supporting retailer, customer and third-party audits.
  • Acting as a key contact for customers on quality and food safety matters.
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing the QA team to achieve their full potential.

What we're looking for

You'll already have experience in a QA Manager, Quality Manager or Senior QA role within food manufacturing or fresh produce.

You'll also bring:

  • Experience working with major UK retailers.
  • Strong knowledge of BRCGS Food Safety Standards.
  • Experience leading audits and managing retailer requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Confidence building relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3.
  • A full UK driving licence.

Bonus points if you have...

  • Fresh produce experience.
  • Internal Auditor qualification.
  • Experience with retailer Codes of Practice.
  • Root Cause Analysis or Continuous Improvement training.

Why join?

This is a business where quality isn't just a department-it's central to everything they do.

You'll have the opportunity to influence site standards, lead a fantastic team, work directly with major retailers and play a key role in driving continuous improvement across the business.

If you're looking for a role where your ideas are listened to, your experience is valued and you can genuinely make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
