Quality Assurance Officer Watford | Permanent | Competitive salary + bonus
Are you an experienced Quality Assurance professional with pharmaceutical, healthcare or life sciences experience looking for your next opportunity?
We are working with a growing international healthcare organisation that is looking for a Quality Assurance Officer to join its team in Watford.
This is a hands-on QA position where you will play an important role in maintaining and developing the organisation's Quality Management System and GMDP compliance, working closely with colleagues across warehousing, logistics, customer service, sales and procurement.
The Role You will support the wider QA function and Responsible Person across a broad range of quality and compliance activities, including:
  • Maintaining and controlling SOPs, work instructions and quality documentation
  • Supporting deviation, CAPA and change control processes
  • Supporting customer complaints, investigations and root cause analysis
  • Assisting with internal, supplier and external service provider audits
  • Supporting client audits and regulatory inspections
  • Completing warehouse compliance checks
  • Supporting recalls and mock recalls
  • Maintaining the employee training matrix and training records
  • Supporting GDP Management Reviews and trend analysis
  • Carrying out risk assessment reviews
  • Supporting supplier and customer qualification and due diligence
  • Resolving quality queries with manufacturers and suppliers
  • Supporting temperature-controlled packaging and transport validation
  • Monitoring relevant regulatory updates, recalls and product restrictions
  • Supporting controlled drug and precursor import/export licensing activities
  • Keeping up to date with developments across GDP and GMP
About You We are looking for someone who has:
  • Previous QA experience within pharmaceutical wholesale, distribution or manufacturing
  • Strong working knowledge of GDP
  • Some knowledge of GMP would be advantageous
  • A Life Sciences degree or equivalent, with Pharmacist/Technician knowledge desirable
  • Experience working with quality systems, documentation and compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The confidence to work with customers, suppliers, service providers and regulatory stakeholders
  • A collaborative, practical and accountable approach
This would suit someone who enjoys a broad, hands-on QA role rather than a position focused purely on documentation.
