QA Test Engineer – Linux in Manchester, Greater Manchester

We’re looking for a QA Test Engineer with good Linux experience to join a team developing a new Linux Agent for a leading business platform. You’ll work closely with Software Development and DevOps teams, combining hands-on testing with building test automation.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of testing a new product, investigate complex technical issues and help shape QA processes within a growing engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Lead functional, integration and regression testing of the Linux Agent

• Design test plans and investigate software defects

• Work with Development and DevOps to build test automation

• Maintain and troubleshoot Linux and Windows test environments
   

Requirements
 

• Strong practical Linux knowledge

• Experience in software QA and defect investigation

• Understanding of test planning and execution

• Ability to configure and troubleshoot operating systems

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Desirable: Python scripting, test automation frameworks and CI/CD experience.
