QC Technician in Old

This role will be based at their site in Northampton and is a permanent role, working Sunday to Thursday nights, 10pm – 6am. The night shift will commence following the completion of a three month training period which will be on day shift, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm.
Salary
The expected salary for this role will be between £26,000-£30,000 plus a 30% shift premium once night shifts commence.
The Role
Reporting to the QC Manager, your main responsibility will be to support production through performance of quality control tests.
Responsibilities:
- Assist production with any queries relating to raw material or production batches.
- Release raw materials and laboratory batches after testing to specification.
- Accurately reading and entering all data onto QC system with due regard for specification.
- Obtain specifications from suppliers for raw materials and enter onto database.
- Liaise with Customer services in the event of delays to batches.
Essential Skills:
- Previous laboratory experience is preferred, specifically in a quality role.
- Accurate time management and record keeping.
- Great communication skills.
- Excellent sense of smell and eye for detail.
- Flexibility to cover shifts at short notice may be required.
- Ideally A level qualified in science.
