The successful QHSE Manager / Quality Manager / Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager will support the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the organisation’s QHSE management systems, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, customer and corporate requirements. The role will involve supporting ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, alongside audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, document control, corrective actions, compliance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
The QHSE Manager / Quality Manager / Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager will ideally have experience within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment, with a background in QHSE, quality assurance or compliance. Experience supporting quality management systems, ISO standards, audits, document control, corrective actions, risk assessments and continuous improvement processes is highly advantageous. This is an 18-month fixed-term contract and candidates must be commutable to Bristol.

QHSE Manager / Quality Manager / Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager Role
- Support the implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of QHSE policies, procedures, management systems and company standards, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, customer and internal requirements.
- Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, including document control, audits, certification activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct and support internal, external, customer and regulatory audits, maintaining accurate records of findings, actions and improvements.
- Manage and maintain QHSE documentation, including procedures, inspection records, training records, NCRs, corrective/preventative actions and compliance documentation.
- Support quality investigations, root cause analysis, customer complaints, defects and non-conformance processes to drive corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
- Support health & safety activities including workplace inspections, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, method statements, incident investigations and hazard control measures.
- Assist with environmental and sustainability activities, including waste management, pollution prevention, environmental inspections, EcoVadis/ESG initiatives and performance improvements.
- Maintain QHSE performance data, KPIs and management reporting, while working closely with operations, engineering, production and procurement teams to drive quality and continuous improvement.
QHSE Manager / Quality Manager / Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager Requirements
- Previous experience as a QHSE Coordinator, Quality Coordinator, Quality Assurance Coordinator, Quality Engineer, Health & Safety Coordinator, Compliance Coordinator or similar role within a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of QHSE principles, including quality management systems, health & safety, environmental compliance, risk assessments, audits and continuous improvement processes.
- Experience supporting ISO 9001 quality systems, with exposure to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 advantageous.
- Experience supporting internal and external audits, customer requirements, document control, NCR management, root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions (CAPA).
- Knowledge of UK QHSE legislation, environmental requirements, compliance standards and sustainability initiatives, including ESG/EcoVadis exposure where advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail, accurate record keeping abilities and confidence communicating with internal teams, contractors, customers and external stakeholders.
- Experience using QHSE systems, ERP/MRP platforms or quality databases, with the ability to analyse data, maintain records and support QHSE reporting/KPI activities.
- 18-month fixed-term contract.
- Must be commutable to Bristol.
