Location: Powys and surrounding areas
Pay: GBP170 per day
Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, 6.5 hours per day

Are you a Qualified Teacher in Powys looking for flexible teaching opportunities within local primary, secondary or specialist education settings?
We are recruiting confident, adaptable and enthusiastic Qualified Teachers to work across schools throughout Powys, including Brecon, Newtown, Welshpool, Llandrindod Wells, Builth Wells, Ystradgynlais, Machynlleth, Llanidloes, Presteigne, Knighton, Rhayader and Crickhowell.

We have opportunities available for teachers seeking flexible daily supply work, short-term cover, long-term placements or ongoing school-based roles. Whether you are an experienced teacher, an Early Career Teacher or returning to education, we would be interested in hearing from you.

The Qualified Teacher Role

Depending on the placement and your experience, your responsibilities may include:

  • Delivering engaging lessons in line with the school curriculum
  • Following existing lesson plans or preparing suitable teaching materials
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively
  • Assessing and monitoring pupil progress
  • Supporting pupils with different abilities and learning needs
  • Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff
  • Providing feedback and completing necessary handover notes
  • Following school safeguarding policies and procedures

Opportunities may be available across a variety of subjects and key stages within primary, secondary and specialist schools.

About You

To be considered for Qualified Teacher roles, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Previous classroom teaching experience
  • Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • The confidence to adapt to different schools and year groups
  • A professional, flexible and dependable approach
  • A genuine commitment to supporting pupils' learning and development
  • A good understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within education

Experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs, autism, social, emotional and behavioural needs would be particularly valuable for some placements.
