Part-Time Level 3 Nursery Practitioner – Lunch Cover

Location: Hildenborough, Tonbridge, Kent
Hours: 16 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday–Thursday, 11am–3pm
Salary: To be confirmed

We are recruiting a qualified Nursery Practitioner to provide lunchtime cover within an early years setting in Hildenborough, near Tonbridge.

This position offers consistent, family-friendly hours and could suit an experienced practitioner seeking a permanent part-time role that fits around other commitments.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting nursery rooms during the busy lunchtime period
• Providing safe, attentive and nurturing care
• Helping children with meals and established routines
• Supporting sleep, toileting and personal-care requirements
• Maintaining appropriate staff-to-child ratios
• Engaging children in age-appropriate play and activities
• Following safeguarding, health and safety and food-hygiene procedures
• Working flexibly across the nursery according to daily requirements
• Communicating effectively with room teams and nursery management

About you

To be considered, you must have:

• A full and relevant Level 3 early years or childcare qualification
• Previous experience within a nursery or early years setting
• A good understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding
• A caring, dependable and flexible approach
• The confidence to work with different age groups and room teams
• Availability from 11am to 3pm, Monday to Thursday
