Quality Analyst (6 months temporary role)

Join our team as a Quality Analyst and play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of water safety and testing accuracy!
Working closely with our Quality Manager and Senior Quality Analyst, you'll be at the heart of our day-to-day Quality Management System across Laboratory and Sampling operations.
In this role, you'll champion compliance with ISO 17025 and the Drinking Water Testing Specification (DWTS).
You'll take ownership of investigating AQC and proficiency testing failures, tracking bias, and resolving non-conforming work, turning data and detail into continuous improvement.

Main responsibilities:
- Completion & review of internal AQC forms (on AQCTools & Excel) to ensure all failures are recorded and investigated
- Completion & review of external proficiency testing failure forms to ensure all failures are recorded and investigated
- Review of bias investigations (on AQCTools & Excel) to ensure sufficient information is recorded
- Completion & review of non-conforming work forms to ensure all relevant information is recorded & effectiveness is checked
- Compilation of data on completion of forms & preparation of a report for the Quality Manager on a monthly basis
- Notify the Quality Manager and Laboratory Manager of any issues pertaining to the quality of analysis as appropriate
- Any other tasks requested by the Quality Manager and/or Senior Quality Analyst
Skills / Qualifications / Experience
- All analysts are required to have existing knowledge of good laboratory practice gained either via previous practical laboratory experience or via a strong academic background. Good numeracy, literacy, computer literacy, and analytical ability are essential. Good teamworking & attention to detail also essential.
- A-level, NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- All analysts are required to have existing knowledge of good laboratory practice gained either via previous practical laboratory experience or via a strong academic background.
- Preferably qualified to degree level but this is not a formal requirement.
- Previous laboratory experience desirable.
- Previous experience in a UKAS accredited laboratory desirable.
