Metalis are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join a busy manufacturing environment, helping to maintain quality standards across fabricated switchboards and control panels. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with production teams, identify improvements, and play a key part in delivering high-quality products to customers.



What's the Job?

  • Carrying out quality inspections on fabricated and assembled equipment

  • Maintaining accurate inspection records and quality reports

  • Identifying defects and non-conformances and helping implement corrective actions

  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes

  • Working with Production Managers, Supervisors and Team Leaders to improve quality and productivity

  • Assisting with ISO 9001 compliance and quality management systems

  • Delivering toolbox talks and supporting quality awareness across the workforce

  • Helping drive a zero-defects culture throughout production



What Kind of Person Fits This Job?

  • Previous quality inspection or quality assurance experience within a manufacturing or fabrication environment

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

  • Good understanding of quality management systems and ISO 9001 standards

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Confident using IT systems for reporting and record keeping

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with production teams

Desirable but not essential:

  • Forklift Truck Licence

  • Overhead Crane experience

  • Monday to Fridays Days (Early finish on Fridays)

  • 12 week Temp-Perm

  • Ongoing training and development
