Our client is a leading engineering manufacturer and is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join their growing team!
As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will develop, implement and maintain the company’s Quality Management System while leading relationships with customers’ quality teams and compliance authorities.
Quality Assurance Manager Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement and maintain the company’s Quality Management System
- Lead NCRs, root-cause investigations, corrective actions and performance reporting
- Maintain company quality procedures and ISO 9001 accreditation
- Plan and lead internal, external and accreditation audits
- Support the wider Quality team with the ASME quality manual
- Review existing subcontractors and audit new suppliers alongside Procurement
- Support operational excellence, Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Maintain the Quality team’s skills matrix and implement development plans
- Manage relationships with customers’ quality teams and compliance authorities
- Work across Engineering, Production, Procurement, Logistics and Finance to implement quality improvements
Quality Assurance Manager Ideal Candidate:
- HND in a STEM subject or equivalent, with a bachelor’s degree desirable
- Senior quality experience within a highly regulated engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and experience with AS9100
- Experience working with fabrication and metalwork processes
- Lead Auditor qualifications covering ISO 9001 or AS9100 would be advantageous
- Ideally five years’ senior quality experience within aerospace, defence or nuclear
- Knowledge of PED, ASME VIII and welding standards would be beneficial
- Strong leadership skills with experience training and developing employees
- Knowledge of Lean and continuous-improvement techniques with a practical, resilient approach
Quality Assurance Manager Working Hours and Benefits:
- Monday to Thursday, 08:00–16:30, and Friday, 08:00–14:00
- 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
