£36,500 per annum + £3,500 Car Allowance

Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday–Friday)

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Officer to support our adult residential services in maintaining high standards of care, governance and regulatory compliance.

Working closely with Registered Managers and operational teams, you will support quality assurance activities including audits, compliance monitoring, inspection preparation and continuous improvement initiatives. This role plays a key part in ensuring services consistently meet CQC expectations and deliver outstanding person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct audits across residential services, including care plans, medication records, incidents, safeguarding, health and safety, staff files and training compliance.
  • Support services to evidence compliance with CQC regulations and standards.
  • Produce audit reports, identify trends and support managers to implement improvement plans.
  • Monitor action plans and escalate significant risks or recurring concerns.
  • Support inspection readiness, governance reviews and quality improvement projects.
  • Maintain quality assurance systems, trackers and governance records.
  • Deliver training and guidance on documentation, compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote learning following incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns and investigations.
  • Work collaboratively with managers and staff to embed sustainable improvements and best practice.

Travel Requirements

This is a regional role requiring regular travel across adult residential services within the West Midlands, with occasional attendance at meetings, training events and office locations.

  • Business mileage and a £3,500 annual car allowance are provided.

About You

Essential

  • Experience within health and social care.
  • Knowledge of adult social care and CQC requirements.
  • Strong organisational, communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to identify risks and support service improvements.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to travel independently between services.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.

Desirable

  • Quality assurance, auditing or compliance experience.
  • Experience supporting CQC inspections.
  • Training delivery experience.
  • Knowledge of Regulation 17 and governance frameworks.
  • Level 3 (or above) qualification in Health and Social Care.
  • Experience supporting services rated Good or Outstanding by CQC.
