Diamond Search Recruitment is delighted to be supporting our client with the recruitment of a Quality Auditor.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced quality, compliance, audit or inspection professional to join an organisation operating across residential children's homes, supported living accommodation and independent schools.

The successful candidate will provide independent assurance that services are operating in line with statutory regulations, internal quality frameworks and required standards. You will play a key role in identifying compliance risks, areas for improvement and opportunities to strengthen the quality of services provided to children and young people.

The Role

As Quality Auditor, you will be responsible for continuously developing and delivering systematic audits across a national portfolio of services.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting independent audits of residential children's homes, supported accommodation services and independent schools.

• Auditing services against the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015, Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023 and Independent School Standards.

• Providing independent assurance on service-level compliance with statutory regulations and internal quality frameworks.

• Identifying risks, areas of non-compliance and opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Analysing evidence and making balanced, evidence-based judgements regarding compliance, quality and risk.

• Producing clear, accurate and constructive audit reports, highlighting findings and recommended areas for improvement.

• Working collaboratively with service managers, staff and senior leaders to communicate findings and support positive outcomes.

• Engaging professionally with children and young people as part of the audit process.

• Maintaining accurate audit records and ensuring reports are completed within agreed timescales.

• Contributing to the ongoing development of audit processes, systems and quality frameworks.

Initial Focus

Initially, the primary focus of the role will be the organisation's residential children's homes and supported accommodation services.

You will be expected to complete a minimum of two audits per week on a rolling programme, ensuring that each service receives a quarterly audit visit.

This is a fully remote role, but it requires significant national travel to services across the UK, including regular overnight stays.

About You

We are looking for an experienced and confident quality professional who can operate with a high level of independence, integrity and professional objectivity.

You will ideally have:

• Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015.

• Strong knowledge of the Supported Accommodation (England) Regulations 2023.

• Experience within auditing, inspection, compliance or quality assurance in children's social care.

• The ability to analyse a range of evidence and make sound, well-reasoned judgements around compliance and risk.

• Excellent report-writing skills, with the ability to present findings clearly, professionally and constructively.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Confidence engaging with staff, children and young people.

• Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to manage a national audit schedule and meet deadlines.

• The ability to work independently while maintaining professional standards and objectivity.

• A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

• Flexibility to travel extensively throughout the UK and stay away overnight when required.

Experience relating to independent schools, supported accommodation or children's residential care would be highly advantageous.
