Job Title: Quality Certification Manager ( Edgewing )

Location: Reading area. The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. There is a Hybrid Working Policy in place at Edgewing – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.

Job Description:

The Quality Certification Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring Edgewing maintains and renews its EN9100 certification and complies with AQAP 2310 standards. As the central owner of certification activities, this position leads the certification strategy, manages relationships with certification bodies, oversees audit readiness, and partners closely with internal stakeholders to ensure a robust and effective Quality Management System. By driving continuous improvement, identifying risks, and coaching process owners across the business, the Quality Certification Manager helps strengthen operational excellence, safeguard compliance, and support Edgewing’s reputation for quality and performance. This is a highly visible role with significant influence, offering the opportunity to shape quality standards and make a lasting impact across the organisation.

Core duties:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on certification on activities including metrics on success rates, timelines, and areas for improvement
  • Lead and develop the certification team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment through clear communication, effective delegation, and good stakeholder engagement, while overseeing the end-to-end certification process to ensure timely delivery, audit readiness, and the successful achievement and renewal of certifications
  • Develop, implement, and maintain certification on strategies that align with organisational goals and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding certification on processes and requirements
  • Oversight the definition of the root-cause and corrective actions and the management of the OFIs
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the certification on system to increase Edgewing’s process effectiveness

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in managing of company certification in compliance with certification on standards/requirements
  • Previous experience in managing audit process (quality audits first party)
  • Experience of working in a highly regulated industry Eg, Aerospace, Oil and Gas, Automotive
  • Experience in Team Leadership, Mentoring,
