We're looking for a proactive Quality Manager to join our team and take ownership of our quality processes, ensuring they meet both Group standards and UK regulatory requirements. This is a varied role where you'll work across multiple departments, managing quality risks, supporting customers, and driving improvements that protect both our business and our reputation. As Quality Manager, you'll be the key point of contact for escalated quality matters, working closely with customers, suppliers, insurers, legal representatives and internal teams to deliver timely, effective resolutions.
You'll lead continuous improvement initiatives, monitor quality performance, and ensure our products and processes consistently meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve quality processes in line with Group standards and UK legislation.
- Ensure company-wide compliance with quality procedures and effectively manage any non-conformance.
- Oversee product quality approvals, including WRAS certification and compliance documentation.
- Support Product Management by verifying stock quality within the warehouse.
- Monitor product testing activities and ensure all documentation remains accurate and up to date.
Quality & Customer Resolution
- Manage escalated customer quality concerns from initial investigation through to resolution.
- Assess and prioritise quality issues, considering health and safety, financial, legal and reputational risk.
- Lead corrective and preventative action plans (CAPAs) to prevent repeat issues.
- Coordinate product recalls, retrofit programmes and quality communications while ensuring legal compliance.
- Maintain clear, accurate and accessible records of all quality-related matters.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong relationships with internal departments and external partners including insurers, legal advisers, technical specialists and suppliers.
- Support the Aftersales team with technical quality enquiries.
- Work collaboratively with Product Managers to resolve customer issues and improve product performance.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Analyse quality data to identify trends and recurring issues.
- Produce meaningful KPI reports that drive business improvements.
- Chair regular Quality Review meetings to monitor actions, discuss ongoing concerns and minimise commercial risk.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement across the business.
We're looking for someone who is analytical, customer-focused and confident managing complex quality issues.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Quality Manager or Senior Quality role.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent understanding of UK compliance requirements and product quality standards.
- Experience investigating quality concerns and implementing corrective actions.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver successful outcomes.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
