Quality Control Inspector - Commercial Waste Management Contracts

COMMERCIALLY FOCUSSED INDIVIDUAL WITH A WILLINGNESS TO TRAVEL REGULARLY REQUIRED FOR A QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR ROLE IN THE WASTE MANAGEMENT AND RECYCLING SECTOR

TITLE: Quality Control Inspector – Waste Management & Recycling Contracts / Accounts 

PACKAGE: £35K plus Car, Pension & Benefits

LOCATION: home based with regular travel (3-4 days a week). Travel across Northern Ireland 

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Quality Control, Quality Inspector, Sales Executive, Account Manager, Business Development Manager, Paper Recycling, Plastics Recycling, Metal Recycling, Waste Management, Wood Recycling, Biomass, Quality Manager, Quality Supervisor, Materials Sourcer, Plastics Buyer, Purchaser, Operations Supervisor, SHEQ Advisor, Quality Advisor 

ROLE: Quality Control Inspector – Waste Management & Recycling Contracts / Accounts 

You will travel across England to sites to inspect the quality of purchased recyclable materials at customers’ sites to ensure quality is to the requested spec and contamination is minimal

You will check loose material and bales, take samples, and undertake rudimentary testing

You will take up any anomalies with the customer and the Business Development team to address the issues and refuse loads if absolutely necessary

You will identify additional commercial opportunities whilst on clients’ sites, if you show aptitude for delivering additional revenue there can be opportunities to progress into the commercial team.  

EXPERIENCE: Quality Control Inspector – Waste Management & Recycling Contracts / Accounts 

The right individual does not have to been from a quality control background. In fact, we are also open to considering hands on practical sales people, that want a change. Operational people that are commercially focused and happy to do some sales. People from a QC background would have to have the right personality and attitude to fit into a commercial team, and not be technically focussed. A mix of credibility, practicality and some commercial acumen ideal. 

Waste & Recycling Sector experience would be advantageous, but willingness to work up close to waste material essential. 

Any relevant qualifications welcome which may include ISO 9001 auditor, IOSH, COTC, WAMITAB, IEMA, NEBOSH
