Quality Assurance / Engineering Professional – Aerospace Manufacturing
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Quality Assurance / Engineering professional to join a leading aerospace manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume production environment and has a strong background in quality management, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 7am–4pm or 8am–5pm
- Friday: 7am–12pm or 8am–1pm
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Location: Castle Donington, Derby
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all products meet stringent quality standards, minimizing costs and maximizing customer satisfaction.
- Verify incoming materials comply with required quality specifications.
- Identify, report, and resolve quality issues swiftly to prevent customer impact.
- Support new product introductions to guarantee robust product builds.
- Collaborate in teams to implement best practices that prevent defects, reduce variation, and eliminate waste.
- Manage customer-specific and 3rd party accreditation requirements while providing technical support.
- Conduct internal audits (AS9100/AS13100) and oversee corrective actions.
- Investigate non-conformances using root cause analysis (8D) and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and 3rd parties.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Quality/Engineering background, ideally in aerospace manufacturing.
- Experience with root cause analysis tools, particularly 8D problem-solving.
- Internal audit experience (AS9100 preferred).
- Familiarity with continuous improvement techniques.
- Proven track record in quality assurance and working with customers/suppliers.
- Competent in interpreting drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Proficient in computer systems and databases.
Qualifications:
- Relevant business, commercial, manufacturing, or engineering degree, ONC, A Levels, BTec Level 4, NVQ Level 4, or equivalent experience.
