Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting an established and highly regarded engineering and manufacturing business in the appointment of a Quality Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality professional looking for a hands-on role within a technically focused manufacturing environment, where you will have the opportunity to work closely with production and engineering teams and make a tangible impact on quality performance.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards, investigating issues and driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing operation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
- Working closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
- Investigating non-conformances and identifying root causes.
- Implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Producing and analysing quality data and identifying trends.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.
- Supporting customer and supplier quality activities where required.
- Assisting with the development and improvement of quality procedures and processes.
- Providing practical quality support and guidance to production teams.
- Ensuring appropriate records and documentation are maintained.
- Supporting the business with customer complaints, investigations and corrective actions.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, Quality Technician or similar position.
- Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with non-conformance investigation and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of corrective and preventative actions.
- Experience using quality improvement tools such as 8D, 5 Why and fishbone analysis.
- A methodical and analytical approach to problem solving.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The confidence to challenge processes and drive improvements.
Experience within precision engineering, machining, fabrication or metal manufacturing would be particularly advantageous.
