Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be supporting an established and highly regarded engineering and manufacturing business in the appointment of a Quality Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality professional looking for a hands-on role within a technically focused manufacturing environment, where you will have the opportunity to work closely with production and engineering teams and make a tangible impact on quality performance.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving quality standards, investigating issues and driving continuous improvement across the manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System.
  • Working closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Investigating non-conformances and identifying root causes.
  • Implementing corrective and preventative actions.
  • Producing and analysing quality data and identifying trends.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.
  • Supporting customer and supplier quality activities where required.
  • Assisting with the development and improvement of quality procedures and processes.
  • Providing practical quality support and guidance to production teams.
  • Ensuring appropriate records and documentation are maintained.
  • Supporting the business with customer complaints, investigations and corrective actions.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer, Quality Technician or similar position.
  • Experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with non-conformance investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Experience using quality improvement tools such as 8D, 5 Why and fishbone analysis.
  • A methodical and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The confidence to challenge processes and drive improvements.

Experience within precision engineering, machining, fabrication or metal manufacturing would be particularly advantageous.
