Quality Engineer

This role will suit a quality professional with strong customer-facing experience and a proven background managing quality activities from new product introduction through to series production. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting customers, driving quality improvements and ensuring compliance with automotive quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead customer quality activities and act as the main point of contact for quality-related issues.
- Support APQP activities throughout the product lifecycle.
- Prepare and submit PPAP documentation in line with customer requirements.
- Investigate quality concerns using structured problem-solving techniques and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct internal and external quality audits.
- Review engineering drawings and specifications, applying strong GD&T knowledge.
- Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Supply Chain teams to improve product and process quality.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
- Experience in a Quality Engineer position within automotive manufacturing.
- Strong front-end/customer quality experience.
- Good working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA and Core Tools.
- Strong understanding of GD&T and interpretation of engineering drawings.
- Experience of 8D, Root Cause Analysis and corrective action processes.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
