Are you an experienced Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety professional looking for a role that offers genuine flexibility while giving you ownership across safety, quality and sustainability?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading food business in a broad QHSE role, working just 30 hours per week with the flexibility to spread these across either four or five days. You’ll take responsibility for maintaining and improving standards across Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety, working closely with teams across the site to ensure compliance, manage risk and drive continuous improvement.
Working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment supplying retail, commercial and foodservice markets, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact across the site, helping to develop a strong culture around safety, quality and responsible business practices.
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Developing, implementing and maintaining Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensuring the site remains compliant with relevant legislation, industry standards and internal requirements.
- Conducting regular audits, inspections and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Leading and supporting Health & Safety and Quality training across the site.
- Working cross-functionally to improve processes, systems and working practices.
- Managing incident investigations, identifying root causes and ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
- Monitoring performance against key QHSE measures and reporting on trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
- Supporting the site’s environmental and sustainability objectives.
- Promoting a positive culture around Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental responsibility.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
What’s required?
- Previous experience within Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety management, ideally within food manufacturing or a similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections and risk assessments.
- Confidence managing incidents, investigations and corrective actions.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage people across different functions and levels.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a broad range of responsibilities.
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Relevant Health & Safety qualifications or certifications.
