Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a leading international manufacturing organisation in Lancashire to recruit a Quality & HSE Director.

This is a pivotal leadership role with responsibility for designing, implementing and embedding a globally consistent Integrated Management System across multiple international operations. The successful candidate will drive quality, health, safety and environmental excellence while leading the implementation of key ISO frameworks and establishing a culture of continuous improvement across the Group.

Responsibilities of the Quality & HSE Director:

  • Lead and develop the Group Quality & HSE function, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Provide direct leadership and support to the UK Quality and Health & Safety teams.
  • Design, build and implement a single, globally aligned Integrated Management System.
  • Drive the strategic implementation, certification and continual improvement of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
  • Build systems to assess the overall cost of poor quality and develop the team to address the issues. 
  • Ensure products are manufactured, tested and released in compliance with customer requirements, industry standards and regulatory specifications.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence and regulatory compliance across all sites.

We are keen to  speak with Quality & HSE Directors with the following

  • A Quality-biased strategic leader who has previously had responsibility for the HSE function.
  • Degree qualification in an Engineering or Quality related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Chartered status or recognised professional accreditation in Quality, Health & Safety or a related field is ideal.
  • Proven experience in a senior Quality and/or HSE leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of Integrated Management Systems.
  • Experience leading organisational change and driving the adoption of best practice across multiple sites.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to balance operational delivery and long-term business objectives.
