Actio Engineering Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a highly established precision engineering company in Aldershot in their search for a Quality Inspector to join their growing team.

The Role

As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key part in ensuring products meet the highest quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. This is a varied position covering the full inspection cycle, from incoming goods through to final inspection.

Duties will include:

  • Visual and dimensional inspection of precision machined components.
  • First-off, in-process and final inspection activities.
  • Incoming goods inspection of raw materials and components prior to release to production.
  • Working closely with machinists and production teams to ensure quality requirements are met throughout manufacture.
  • Operating manual inspection equipment and CMM machinery..
  • Completion of inspection reports and quality documentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with customer specifications, drawings and quality standards.

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates with:

  • Previous experience within a Quality Inspector position in a precision engineering or machining environment.
  • Strong visual and dimensional inspection skills.
  • Experience inspecting precision machined components.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Experience using standard inspection equipment such as micrometers, verniers, height gauges and gauges.
  • CMM experience, ideally with Aberlink software, although training can be provided.
  • A proactive approach and strong attention to detail.

Salary

  • Salary of £33,000 - £39,000 depending on experience.
  • Permanent, full-time position.
  • Dayshift working pattern.
  • Early finish every Friday.
  • Training and support provided.
  • Opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and components.
