Our client, is a precision engineering manufacturer looking for a Quality Inspector to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Senior Inspector, you will be undertaking a hands-on role where your expertise in precision engineering and quality systems will directly shape the company's reputation and delivery.
Duties will include:
- Inspection and pass-off activities using Roma Arm scanner, standard inspection equipment and the CMM machine.
- Creation of FAIRs
- Programming the CMM using PC Demis system.
- Produce regular control plans and regular reports.
- Create tool trial reports.
- Complete feasibility studies for new tooling.
- Create and maintain SOPs and WIs.
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Quality Inspector from a precision engineering background.
- Confident inspecting components produced from CNC machines.
- Hands-on experience with Roma Arm scanner, together with standard inspection equipment.
- PCDemis software programming skills.
- Proven track record in precision engineering inspection and pass-off procedures for FAIR preparation
- Strong communication skills to report quality findings clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently while supporting the wider quality team
- Any Engineering Qualification
- Hands on experience is more important than a Quality-based qualification.
- Surface finishing or injection moulding experience would be an advantage, but is not an essential requirement.
