Are you a hands-on Quality Inspector who enjoys being on the shop floor, working closely with production and ensuring high-precision components meet the highest standards?

We are recruiting for multiple Quality Inspectors to join a growing advanced manufacturing business producing complex components for highly regulated industries. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern machine shop environment, using a wide range of inspection equipment and CMM technology.



The Role

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections of precision machined components, ensuring all products meet customer specifications and quality requirements.

This is a practical, hands-on inspection role suited to someone with a strong machining or manufacturing background who is confident reading engineering drawings and using a variety of inspection equipment.



Key Responsibilities

  • First-off, in-process and final inspection of machined components
  • Inspection of complex precision-engineered parts to tight tolerances
  • Use of manual inspection equipment including:
    • Verniers
    • Micrometers
    • Height Gauges
    • Bore Gauges
    • Surface Measurement Equipment
  • Operating CMM equipment and interpreting results
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Completing inspection reports and quality documentation
  • Supporting non-conformance investigations and quality improvements
  • Working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Production teams
  • Ensuring compliance with customer and internal quality standards


What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Quality Inspector within a machine shop or precision engineering environment
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience using a variety of manual measuring equipment
  • Experience operating CMMs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to quality


Desirable Experience

  • Aerospace, Defence, Automotive or Advanced Manufacturing background
  • Knowledge of AS9100, ISO9001 or similar quality systems
  • Experience with Zeiss, Mitutoyo, PC DMIS or other CMM platforms
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
