We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Quality Manager to join our client, a major energy and engineering contractor in SW London on a long term contract.
Candidates should have at least 7 years experience working as a Quality Engineer, Project Quality Engineer, Project Quality Manager or similar, within an offshore construction project environment.
The Project Quality Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing the Project Quality Management System (PQMS) and ensuring that all Project Quality Control (QC) activities are effectively planned and implemented throughout the project.
Working closely with the Project Director/Project Manager and QHSE Manager, you will act as the focal point for all project quality matters, supporting the project team, clients, authorities, vendors and subcontractors to ensure contractual and quality requirements are consistently achieved.
This is a senior project quality position requiring strong experience within an offshore construction project environment, together with proven capability across Project Quality Management Systems, quality audits, subcontractor management and non-conformance control.
Key Responsibilities

Plan and implement Project Quality Management System (PQMS) activities.

Plan and oversee Project Quality Control (QC) activities.

Prepare and manage Project Quality Plans, procedures and associated documentation.

Plan and conduct quality audits to verify PQMS implementation.

Conduct audits of vendors and subcontractors.

Ensure contractual quality requirements are effectively communicated and implemented.

Participate in project management meetings and coordinate quality activities with the wider project team.

Support the Project Manager in client and authority interactions relating to quality.

Provide quality oversight of subcontractors and organisations undertaking project works.

Manage site non-conformities and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented and closed.

Promote preventative actions to minimise potential non-conformities and their causes.
Candidate Requirements

Engineering degree or relevant technical qualification.

ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification – essential.

Minimum 7 years' experience as a Quality Engineer or similar.

Proven experience working on offshore construction projects.

Strong experience in quality auditing and management systems.

Experience managing vendors and subcontractors.

Knowledge of material storage, handling and preservation.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
