FC Engineering is working with an established engineering and manufacturing business in Welwyn Garden City who are looking to appoint an experienced Quality Manager.
This is an important role within the business, taking responsibility for the quality function and ensuring products, processes and systems meet the required standards within a regulated engineering environment.
The role will suit a quality professional who enjoys being hands-on and working closely with engineering, manufacturing and operational teams to maintain and continuously improve quality standards.
Key responsibilities will include:

Managing the day-to-day quality function

Maintaining and developing the company's Quality Management System

Ensuring compliance with relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements

Managing internal and external audits
-
Supporting customer and supplier quality requirements
-
Investigating non-conformances and implementing corrective and preventive actions
-
Carrying out root-cause analysis and driving continuous improvement
-
Working closely with engineering, manufacturing and production teams
-
Monitoring quality performance and identifying areas for improvement
-
Developing and maintaining quality procedures, documentation and records
-
Supporting product and process validation activities

Managing quality-related projects and improvement initiatives
-
Providing guidance and support on quality matters across the business

Working with suppliers to address quality issues and improve performance
You will ideally have:

Previous experience in a Quality Manager, Quality Engineer or similar role

Experience within engineering, manufacturing or a technical product environment

Experience working within regulated environments

Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems

Experience with auditing, non-conformance and corrective actions
-
Good understanding of root-cause analysis and continuous improvement
-
Experience working with customers and suppliers on quality matters
-
Strong knowledge of relevant quality standards and compliance requirements

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
-
A practical, hands-on approach to quality management
