This is a key leadership position within the organisation, responsible for developing and implementing the overall Quality strategy, while also remaining hands-on with the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of the Quality function.
The successful candidate will have a strong background within a manufacturing or engineering environment, with proven experience managing a Quality team, developing Quality Management Systems (QMS), driving continuous improvement and ensuring consistently high standards across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain the company's overall Quality strategy in line with business objectives.
- Lead, manage and develop the Quality team, providing clear direction, support and accountability.
- Take ownership of the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure it remains effective, compliant and continually improved.
- Drive a strong culture of continuous improvement, quality ownership and operational excellence.
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
- Monitor and improve Quality KPIs, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead investigations into non-conformances, customer complaints and quality issues, implementing effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Operations and other departments to improve processes and reduce quality-related issues.
- Support the introduction and improvement of manufacturing processes, procedures and standards.
- Ensure products and processes meet customer, regulatory and business requirements.
- Develop and maintain Quality procedures, documentation and standards.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance on Quality issues across the manufacturing operation.
- Promote best practice methodologies including root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present Quality performance information to senior management.
- Ensure the business remains prepared for customer, supplier and certification audits.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience working in a Quality Manager / Senior Quality / Quality leadership position within manufacturing or engineering.
- Previous experience managing and developing a Quality team.
- Demonstrable experience developing and implementing a Quality strategy.
- Strong practical experience managing and improving a QMS.
- A hands-on approach with the ability to get involved in Quality issues on the shop floor.
- Experience with internal and external audits.
- Strong knowledge of non-conformance, corrective action and root cause analysis.
- Experience driving continuous improvement and quality performance.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- The ability to balance long-term Quality strategy with the practical demands of a busy manufacturing environment.
