Quality Manager

You will take ownership of the company’s Quality Management System and work closely with teams across the business to maintain and continually improve product quality and operational standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the business.
- Developing, implementing, communicating and managing the Quality Management System.
- Maintaining the Quality Management System to meet ISO 9001 requirements.
- Working towards the accredited implementation of ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems).
- Managing the company’s current Health & Safety system.
- Working closely with production teams to maintain and improve product quality and supply, including supporting the introduction of new products.
- Working with Purchasing to establish quality requirements for external suppliers.
- Ensuring compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
- Developing and maintaining quality procedures, controls and documentation.
- Liaising with customers and ensuring corrective actions are implemented in line with customer specifications.
- Monitoring performance, gathering relevant data and producing statistical and management reports.
- Managing and developing quality department personnel in close cooperation with the Management team.
- Ensuring tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated.
- Managing the company’s quality inspection and product release programmes for incoming and in-process materials and components.
You will ideally have experience of:
- Developing and maintaining quality management systems.
- Working to ISO 9001 standards.
- Managing compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
- Driving continuous improvement and quality performance.
- Working collaboratively with production, purchasing, management and customers.
- Analysing quality data and producing meaningful reports.
- Managing and developing a quality team ideally within a manufacturing background
This position will be on a day shift paying between £40k-£50k dependant on experience.
