We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality & Snagging Inspector (M&E) to join a leading M&E contractor on a major construction project.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QA/QC Engineer, M&E Quality Inspector, or Building Services Inspector to play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of mechanical and electrical installations are achieved before project handover.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for inspecting completed Mechanical & Electrical installations, identifying defects, producing snagging reports, and ensuring all works are completed to specification and in accordance with project quality standards.

You'll work closely with subcontractors, supervisors, commissioning engineers and the wider project delivery team to ensure all quality issues are resolved efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed inspections of mechanical and electrical installations.
• Produce and manage snagging lists across all M&E disciplines.
• Monitor remedial works and carry out re-inspections.
• Ensure all installations comply with project drawings, specifications and relevant industry standards.
• Review QA documentation, inspection test plans (ITPs) and commissioning records.
• Liaise with subcontractors and site management to ensure quality standards are maintained.
• Support practical completion and client handover.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and quality reports.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Quality Inspector, QA/QC Engineer, M&E Inspector, Mechanical Inspector, Electrical Inspector, or Clerk of Works.
• Strong understanding of Mechanical & Electrical building services installations.
• Experience carrying out snagging and quality inspections on live construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• CSCS Card essential.
• SSSTS or SMSTS desirable.

Contract Details

• £350 - £400 per day (depending on experience)
