We're now looking for an experienced Quality Manager / Quality Supervisor to join our UK team based in Gloucester, reporting directly to the UK Quality Director.

The Opportunity
You'll play a key leadership role in ensuring our products, processes and quality management systems consistently meet customer, regulatory and business requirements.
Leading the Gloucester Quality team, you'll champion best practice, support strategic business objectives and help drive a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and develop the Gloucester Quality team, providing day-to-day supervision, coaching and mentoring.
- Manage all internal quality assurance activities, including inspection, non-conforming product, calibration, APQP and customer-specific requirements.
- Support customer, regulatory and third-party certification audits.
- Maintain and improve the Optimas Quality Management System and supporting documentation.
- Manage part and supplier approvals within our NetSuite ERP system alongside our Global Centre of Excellence.
- Monitor and report key quality performance metrics, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct product, process and system audits to maintain compliance and accreditation.
- Lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve operational performance.
- Promote the Optimas THREAD values and support wider business improvement projects.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines strong technical quality knowledge with excellent leadership skills.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Quality Manager, Quality Supervisor or Senior Quality Engineering role.
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, industrial distribution or a similar regulated environment.
- Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA or equivalent).
- Level 5 qualification in Quality, Engineering, Metallurgy or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of Quality Core Tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, 8D Problem Solving, CAPA, MSA, 5 Whys
- Experience using ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle or SAP.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Experience leading, coaching and developing teams.
- Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally.
