We're working with a highly respected consultancy that is expanding its London team and is looking to appoint both Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors. The Opportunity
You'll become part of a collaborative and supportive commercial team, delivering cost consultancy and quantity surveying services from project inception through to completion. You'll work closely with clients, contractors, and project teams on a varied portfolio of projects while helping to drive commercial success and deliver outstanding outcomes.
This role offers the chance to work on prestigious developments across sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare, education, infrastructure, public sector, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
Quantity Surveyor
- Assist in the delivery of quantity surveying services across multiple projects.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans.
- Support procurement and tendering processes.
- Carry out valuations, variations, and cost reporting.
- Monitor project costs and financial performance.
- Work closely with clients and project stakeholders.
- Support contract administration and commercial management.
- Continue working towards professional development and chartership where applicable.
Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Lead the commercial delivery of projects from feasibility through to final account.
- Produce and review detailed cost plans and financial reports.
- Provide strategic commercial advice to clients.
- Lead procurement strategies and tender evaluations.
- Manage project risk, value engineering, and change control.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Mentor and support junior surveyors within the team.
- Contribute to business development and identify new opportunities.
About You
For both positions, we're looking for professionals who are commercially aware, client-focused, and passionate about delivering high-quality consultancy services.
You'll ideally have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Consultancy or client-side experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and collaborative approach.
- Membership of, or progress towards, RICS (desirable).
For the Senior Quantity Surveyor role, you'll also demonstrate:
- Experience leading projects independently.
- Confidence managing client relationships.
- Experience mentoring or leading junior team members.
- Strong commercial decision-making skills.
