I'm currently working with a highly regarded, independent construction consultancy that is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing London team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with consultancy experience who is looking to work on a varied portfolio of exciting projects while developing their career within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
You'll be responsible for delivering high-quality cost management services across projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, consultants and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing cost plans and estimates at all project stages.
- Managing procurement processes, including tender documentation and analysis.
- Producing bills of quantities where required.
- Administering contracts and providing commercial advice throughout project delivery.
- Managing valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Preparing cost reports and presenting financial updates to clients.
- Identifying project risks and providing proactive commercial solutions.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
About You
To be considered, you'll ideally have:
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
- Experience working within a UK construction consultancy.
- Strong pre- and post-contract cost management experience.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Working towards MRICS or already chartered (preferred but not essential).
