Quantity Surveyor

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading multi-disciplined practice working on a variety of projects – within the team for the delivery of project and professional services to a wide range of public and private sector clients, assisting with our further planned expansion into commercial work, this practice providing consultancy services across both the public and private sectors. 

As the successful candidate you will be working on schemes with both Pre and Post Contract. You will play an active role in the delivery of project and professional services to a wide range of public and private sector clients, across London and the South East of England.

As the successful candidate you will have residential and education project experience working consultancy side; working directly on schemes ranging from £500k to £30m both Pre and Post Contract.

You will be responsible for reporting directly to the Partner Quantity Surveyors and for assisting in the co-ordination and training of the Intermediate Surveyors within the team. Day to day task will include but not limited to;

• Cost Estimating to NRM1 standard

• Procurement and Tendering

• Working with JCT Suite of Contracts

• Project Financial Control and Reporting

• Valuations

• Risk Management

A detailed understanding of all of the above will be required.

The Candidate to cover the following:

Ideally in RICS accredited with relevant experience - or be a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

Be able to demonstrate extensive experience in the construction industry, including roles as a Quantity Surveyor and progression to a Senior Quantity Surveyor position.

Have relevant professional consultancy experience.

Have extensive experience of Quantity Surveying and the day to day tasks listed above. Require previous experience on public sector works ranging from £500k to £30m - ideally well organised, efficient, using initiative and working to tight deadlines.

Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with an eye for detail, a commitment to excellence and developing strong client relationships.
