About the Company
Our client is a well-established fit-out and refurbishment contractor delivering high-quality commercial interior projects across the North West and throughout the UK. Working across sectors including offices, commercial workplaces, education, healthcare, retail, and industrial environments, they provide complete turnkey solutions from initial design and planning through to project completion.
With a reputation built on quality, reliability, and client satisfaction, the business has developed long-standing relationships with blue-chip clients, consultants, and developers. Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to recruit an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team based in Manchester.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
Managing the commercial delivery of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects
Preparing and submitting applications for payment, valuations, variations, and final accounts
Procuring subcontractors and managing subcontract accounts
Producing CVRs, cost reports, and commercial forecasts
Monitoring project costs and identifying opportunities to maximise profitability
Managing commercial risk and ensuring contractual compliance
Working closely with Project Managers and Site Teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
Supporting the successful delivery of multiple fit-out and refurbishment contracts across the North West
The Ideal Candidate
The successful Quantity Surveyor will have:
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
Experience within commercial fit-out, interiors, refurbishment, or specialist subcontracting is highly desirable
Strong understanding of commercial management, cost control, and procurement
Experience preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts
Knowledge of JCT contracts
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Good Microsoft Excel and IT skills
A proactive and commercially focused approach
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management would be advantageous
Full UK Driving Licence
