We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a growing, award-winning main contractor delivering high-quality construction, refurbishment and design & build projects across London and the Home Counties.
Working across a diverse portfolio including residential, education, healthcare, commercial, leisure and heritage projects, you will play a key role in managing project finances, maximising profitability and supporting successful project delivery from inception through to final account.
Key Responsibilities
- Full commercial management of construction projects.
- Preparation and management of budgets, forecasts and cost plans.
- Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
- Valuations, variations and change management.
- Preparation and negotiation of final accounts.
- Cash flow forecasting and reporting.
- Risk identification and commercial mitigation.
- Supporting project teams to achieve programme, quality and financial objectives.
- Producing accurate management reports for senior leadership.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Experience working for a main contractor.
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred.
- Membership of RICS or working towards chartership would be advantageous.
