Conrad Consulting is delighted to be working with a highly respected national property consultancy to recruit a Quantity Surveyor for their growing office based in West Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity to join an experienced team delivering a diverse portfolio of projects across the public sector, including education, residential and commercial developments.

The RoleWorking alongside an experienced team of Chartered Surveyors, you will support the successful delivery of projects from inception through to completion, taking responsibility for a range of pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying duties.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing feasibility studies, preliminary estimates and cost plans in line with RIBA work stages and NRM2.
- Assisting with the preparation of Bills of Quantities and tender documentation.
- Analysing tender returns and supporting contract negotiations.
- Preparing contract documentation.
- Managing post-contract cost control, valuations, financial reporting and expenditure monitoring.
- Preparing and agreeing final accounts with contractors.
- Providing technical support to colleagues within the Quantity Surveying team.
- Ensuring projects are delivered on programme and to the highest professional standards.
- Building strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
Applications are welcomed from Quantity Surveyors with at least three years' relevant industry experience who are looking to continue progressing their career within a supportive consultancy environment.
Ideally, you will have:
- A degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- Have experience of working within a consultancy environment rather than main or sub contracting
- A minimum of three years' Quantity Surveying experience.
- Experience working with JCT forms of contract.
- A desire to achieve, or currently be working towards, MRICS Chartered status.
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A valid CSCS card, or willingness to obtain one.
- Knowledge of current construction and health & safety legislation.
- A full UK driving licence.
